Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 2026

Hi. If you're reading this, you probably want to know what happens with your information when you visit The Blogger Byte. Here it is, in plain language — no legal padding, no fine print.

The short version

I collect as little as possible. I don't sell anything to anyone. I don't run ads. I'm not tracking you across the internet. This is a personal blog, and I'd like to keep it that way.

What I collect

If you subscribe to the newsletter or send me a message, I'll have your email address. That's it. You don't need to share anything just to read the site — no sign-ups, no paywalls.

The server also records basic technical logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) the way every website does. I look at this in aggregate to understand what people are reading. I don't use it to identify anyone personally.

The newsletter

If you subscribe, I store your email solely to send you new posts. No sponsored content, no affiliate drops buried in the emails — just writing. You can unsubscribe any time with one click, and I'll remove your address within 48 hours. No questions asked.

Cookies

Only the essential ones — the kind that keep the site working and remember that you're logged in. No advertising cookies, no tracking pixels, no third-party surveillance. If you block cookies entirely, the site still works fine.

Links to other sites

I link to things I find interesting. Once you leave this site, this policy doesn't cover what happens next. Worth checking the privacy policies of wherever you end up.

Your information, your rights

Want to know what I have on you, correct something, or have it deleted? Just email me at write@thebloggerbyte.com. I'll get back to you personally — usually within a day or two.
